Dr. Katrin Kusek · Doctorate in Education · 18 years in education · ADHD coach training through MentorCoach, an ICF-accredited program
Practical, personalized support for families of students in grades 4–12, and for college students ready to run their own systems. Diagnosed or not.
Support That Truly Understands You
Before I was a coach, I was a parent sitting where you might be right now. When my own child was diagnosed, I expected the hard part to be the diagnosis. Instead, the hard part was everything after.
I'd spent 18 years in education, with a master's and a doctorate in the field. I knew executive function, learning, and school systems from the inside. And I still felt unprepared.
That's what taught me the thing I now see in every family I work with: the hardest part isn't understanding the diagnosis. It's the daily follow-through — the mornings, the homework, the meetings, the deadlines — when the professionals have gone home and it's just you and your kid.
I believe in the power of being grounded in ourselves, our rhythms, and the natural world around us. Nature reminds us to slow down, reconnect, and build strong foundations for lasting growth. That belief is woven into how I coach: clear, calm, thoughtful, and rooted in real life.

Parents and College Students
"I tried out coaching because I’ve always struggled with organizing my time, and find it hard to meet deadlines. Katrin is super friendly and fun, and she made me feel comfortable talking through what I was struggling with and figuring out different strategies to try. I’d say the most helpful thing I learned was how to intentionally prioritize tasks over others, so that I could work on what I needed done without becoming overwhelmed. Most importantly, she truly cared about seeing me improve, which is why I would definitely recommend Coaching on Demand."
"I didn't know my 12-year old son could set his own schedule and keep it! Before it was constant reminders, and exhausting fights about semantics of rules, and how they were followed by him even when they were not. Now he sets a plan and ask me to do the same so he knows when i am available. Thanks Dr. Kusek."
"As a parent, when concepts are hard for your child and seem unreachable, you feel so helpless. And when things fall into place, there is no better feeling in the world. Coaching on Demand took me from hopeless to happy in just a few sessions! Task initiation, planning, organizing, time management, and goal-directed persistence suddenly became daily practices, not daily struggles. Dr. Katrin has been a life changer - for our whole family - thanks to her executive function techniques, ADHD management, and basic life skill routines."
